SEPTEMBER. Campus de la Cartuja- Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation.

11- 13 September.

SDGs: 17 goals for the sustainability of institutions, businesses and people, directed by Carlos Montes del Olmo (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid) and María Victoria Gil Cerezo (Universidad de Córdoba).

OBJECTIVES

The implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the achievement of the SDGs are cross-cutting issues in the strategies and policies of state, regional and local governments. Culture undoubtedly has a transcendental role in the achievement of this challenge, being instituted as an implicit objective in the achievement of the 17 SDGs.
The UN echoes this challenge and stresses that all actors involved (companies, institutions and civil society) must take ownership, understand and embrace the SDGs in order to commit to their achievement. The role of universities, cultural institutions, art and those who disseminate the values of cultural, natural and economic heritage as a means of raising awareness for shared and inclusive sustainability is unquestionable.
Local institutions must step up and lead the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in both their internal and external policies, with and in coherence with their culture-based sustainable development, which implies having the support and constructive contribution of institutions, citizens and social systems.

18- 22 September.

Successful entrepreneurship, directed by José Castro Mora, Manager of the Persán Foundation.

OBJECTIVES

This course is aimed at young people, and not so young, who have the vocation or need to set up on their own and promote a business, but do not know the key aspects to do so. The course offers participants 25 hours of essential knowledge to establish a business model, make a marketing plan, make a financial plan, or deal with the legal, tax and labour issues that affect them.

In order to give a greater perspective, two entrepreneurs will collaborate with the initiative and will talk about their experiences, successes and failures. The students will also receive an updated Guide for Entrepreneurs prepared by the Persan Foundation with more than 200 information sheets on all the public and private resources available to them free of charge.

Two workshops complete the programme: one on coaching, aimed at strengthening personal skills such as creativity or leadership and other competencies such as proactivity, perseverance, customer orientation, etc.; and another workshop on digital business, with specialised applications.

The current reality of the labour market makes an eminently practical course such as this one particularly appropriate, as students leave with the basic tools to start an entrepreneurial initiative.
