Yacine & The Oriental Groove will present the songs from their new album in concert at the Fundación Tres Culturas. Their musical cocktail fuses Eastern, Maghrebi and Western sounds with a cosmopolitan sonic conception that combines cultures and music from different origins, as they have already demonstrated in their previous albums, the albums Parabolic (2010) y Esteem overcomes salvation (2012).
They define their work as a live performance that criticises the socio-political crisis that Western Europe is currently experiencing with the refugees, with songs against injustice. This can be heard in Monstres sota el llitwhere they speak of the Mediterranean as the future and not as a place where the bodies of battered emigrants (whether for war, social or economic reasons) accumulate at the bottom, or of the drama of emigration with the version of the Arab classic Menfi by Missouri Amraoui and Akli Yahiatene.
