The Fundación Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo presents the book The Muslim Brotherhoodby Sergio Castaño Riaño. The author will be in conversation with the Arabist and professor at the University of Seville, Rafael Valencia Rodríguez.
This book analyses the evolution of the international Muslim Brotherhood movement from its origins to the present day. The history of the different organisations that make up the ideological current founded by Hasan al-Banna allows us to answer the many questions that have arisen in recent years about the Brotherhood, such as its commitment to democratic values, its links with jihadist terrorism and its international character. These questions are explored in this book by examining the activities of the Brotherhood's members and sympathisers in the Middle East and Europe.
