Max and his boyfriend Rudy are arrested as homosexuals. During the transfer to the Dachau camp, Rudy is murdered, and Max manages to fool the guards by wearing the yellow Jewish star instead of the pink triangle assigned to homosexuals. In the camp he falls in love with Horst, a proud homosexual who will teach him the dignity of recognising one's own beliefs.
