Synopsis. The young Khorma, red-haired and white-skinned, does not quite fit in in his village. Sponsored by the old Bou Khaled, he learns the job of town crier and speaker at funerals. When the old man dies, he reorganises the tasks, but his way of proceeding arouses the anger of his neighbours.
