Carlos Zanón presents 'Taxi' in Seville and Granada

Details

  • Start: 8 November 2017
  • End: 9 November 2017

The Fundación Tres Culturas and the Granada Noir Festival, in collaboration with the publishing house Salamandra, Cervezas Alhambra and the Obra Social 'la Caixa', are organising the presentation of the book Taxiby Carlos Zanón, on 8 November at 19:30 in Seville and the following day at the same time in Granada.

Carlos Zanón, current curator of the BCNegra Festival and in charge of continuing the mythical Pepe Carvalho, the famous detective created by Manuel Vázquez Montalbán, will present his latest novel, full of darkness, pain and poetry and about his unforgettable characters such as Sandino, the taxi driver who desperately searches for love in the streets of Barcelona to the rhythm of The Clash. The author will be in conversation with the writer Juan Ramón Biedma in Seville and with the singer of Niños Mutantes, Juan Alberto Martínez, in Granada.

After presenting Don't call home (2012), I was Johnny Thunders (2014) y Marley was dead (2016), Tres Culturas had to be once again the stage where Carlos Zanón returns with his most mature novel, which establishes him as one of the most promising authors in this country.

In Seville we will also have the performance of the artist Andrés Herrera, aka Pájaro, to put music to the presentation.

This presentation is part of the activities organised to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Fatima Mernissi Library.
