The Fundación Tres Culturas is participating in the 2017 edition of the Mostra de Valencia-Cinema del Mediterráneo. This event was born in 1980 as a cultural and social meeting point for different cultures and has become one of the leading festivals in the Mediterranean basin.
Since 2013, the festival has been held once again under the general name of Muestra Viva del Mediterráneo, encompassing other artistic expressions such as music, literature, stage and visual arts. The 2017 edition of the Mediterranean Film Festival is the first with a competitive section in this new phase and runs from 5 to 17 October.
The Fundación Tres Culturas participates as a guest organisation in the parallel activities of the Mostra. Specifically, it will be present at the round table 'Cultural Festivals of the Mediterranean' on Tuesday 10 October at 19.00 in the auditorium of the Valencian Museum of Enlightenment and Modernity (MUVIM), sharing the table with María Escalona, Djamila Sandouk, Lucien Castela and Vicent Garcés.
The Fundación Tres Culturas will present its experience in the organisation of cultural events in the Mediterranean area and in particular its work programme in the field of cinema, through its own programming with its permanent programme 'Martes de Cine', as well as its collaboration with renowned festivals on the Moroccan film scene, such as the International Mediterranean Film Festival in Tetouan.
