Under the heading Culinary MoroccoThis second edition of the festival is once again a reference point for Moroccan gastronomy and culture in the town of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. Attendees will be able to enjoy different samples and tastings, exhibitions of painting, photography and traditional costumes, dances and musical performances, etc., with Moroccan gastronomy as the common thread.
Tres Culturas collaborates in this festival by providing the folkloric musical entertainment that enlivens the festival, as well as a concert of Andalusian music by the group directed by Jalal Chekara on Saturday 10 February.
This orchestra was founded in Tetouan by Abdessadak Chekara with the aim of serving as a bridge between the two sides of the Strait of Gibraltar. His nephew Jallal Chekara continues the work begun 50 years ago by his predecessor, keeping the Andalusian musical tradition alive.
This year's event will also include the participation of an important line-up of internationally renowned Moroccan chefs, such as Rachid Maftouh, Christian Têtedoie and Chef Moha, director of the programme. Masterchef Morocco.
