Details

  • Start: 22 February 2018
  • End: 24 February 2018

The 2nd International Meeting of Mediterranean Women Academics and Researchers, organised by the Three Cultures Foundation and the Al liqá Association, will examine the major economic transformations that are taking place in the Mediterranean area and the consequences of migratory movements, currently characterised by the high feminisation of these movements, motivated by disparities in income levels between the countries on both sides of the Mediterranean.

This meeting will bring together women academics and researchers from universities and research centres on both shores of the Mediterranean. In addition to the main objective mentioned above, the meeting has other specific objectives: firstly, to provide a glimpse of the socio-economic processes resulting from the global crisis that is shaking the world and the Mediterranean region in particular; secondly, to question the different issues and aspects that the economic discipline offers us, from a gender perspective; and thirdly, to carry out an analysis of the repercussions of the economic crisis in the Mediterranean region and its impact on women.

The University of Granada will grant 1 ECTS elective credit for the students of the Degree in Labour Relations and Human Resources who participate.
