Aware that comics is a language that can help us to better understand complex realities such as the Middle East, with The Lady of Damascus, Filiu takes us into the early years of the Syrian uprising, emphasising its peaceful origins for greater freedoms and the abandonment of the United Nations.

After the success of The Arab SpringThe union between the prestigious professor and Arabist Jean-Pierre Filiu and the cartoonist Cyrille Pomès is consolidated. Script and drawing complement each other to offer a rigorous work with an expressive drawing that gives soul to each of the characters that weave this comic.
