The Three Cultures Foundation takes two entrepreneurs from the INTREPIDA project to SIMOF

The International Flamenco Fashion Show, SIMOF, hosts a stand (number 82) dedicated to the INTREPIDA project, led by the Three Cultures Foundation, in which two businesswomen selected from all those who regularly participate in the actions of this project show their products.

They are Silvia Rodrigues, from the company Sigues (Loulé, Portugal), and Marisol Torres, from Mariblu (Cádiz), two entrepreneurs who met at the I Business to Business Together We Are More, held last November in the Portuguese town of Faro and which also have several points in common: both are dedicated to paper accessories and develop their work in coworking spaces.

Silvia Rodrigues has been working for more than a decade in the field of costume jewellery made from newspaper. She was the first designer in Europe to make this type of product and has made Sigues the first Portuguese company to be present at SIMOF thanks to the promotion of the INTREPIDA project, part of the INTERREG programme (POCTEP).

Marisol Torres trained in Fine Arts and has worked as a restorer and conservator, until she decided to embark on a more personal artistic project, using paper to create flowers, headdresses, headpieces, centrepieces and bouquets, among other products.

INTREPIDA (Internationalisation of Spanish and Portuguese Businesswomen towards Insertion, Development and Alliances) is a project led by the Fundación Tres Culturas with the following partners: Fundación Universidad Empresa de la Provincia de Cádiz (FUECA), Diputación de Huelva, REGIOTIC, Asociación de Empresarios de la Región de Portoalegre (NERPOR) and Núcleo Empresarial de la Región de Évora (NERE).

It has European funding from the INTERREG V A Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) programme and, among its aims, is to make the work of companies run by Andalusian and Portuguese women more visible, while promoting the mobility and presence in other markets of women entrepreneurs from both countries, objectives that are the focus of this presence at the International Flamenco Fashion Show.
