The CARPET (Craft Art and People Together) project of the Fundación Tres Culturas promotes the rapprochement between artists and citizens by organising workshops-meetings with local artists or artists in residence in this city.
This is a beginner's level practice of calligraphy in italic calligraphy, done with a brush, to achieve calligraphic compositions in a very recognisable style. The technique taught enables attractive results to be obtained very early on. Participants learn the structures of italic type and how to reproduce it correctly with a brush, starting by discovering the origin of this style, and then developing the entire alphabet and its variants.
