Brazilian Palestine
Omar L. de Barros Filho. Brazil, 2017, 77 min.
Shot between Brazil and the Middle East, this film recounts the experiences of Palestinian families affected by persecution and war and shows how well they have integrated into Brazilian society.
Far from the headlines, in the far south of Brazil, the Palestinian community struggles to survive and to raise public awareness. Who are they? What are their hopes? How do they keep a record of their past? What can new generations expect for the future? The documentary Brazilian Palestine reveals the roots of a tragic 20th century diaspora.
Free admission until full capacity is reached.
