The Fondation des Trois Cultures, in collaboration with the publishing house Cabaret Voltaire, is organising this discussion with a living memoir of international Tangérois, the Moroccan writer and painter of Rif origin, Mohamed Mrabet. Coinciding with the publication of CitronHis second novel, not yet published in Spanish (and like his twelve other works resulting from the collaboration between Mrabet and the American Paul Bowles), the author will meet with Farid Othman-Bentria Ramos, intercultural coordinator and writer.
Self-educated and educated, Mrabet has brought writers such as William Burroughs, Truman Capote, Tennessee Williams and Allen Ginsberg to Tangiers. A city that has become the centre of attraction for intellectuals and artists, including those of the Beat Generation. But it is the Bowles couple who establish a fruitful relationship with it through the oral recitals dictated by Mrabet to Paul.
Sale and distribution of books after the presentation.
