As part of the programme of activities to enjoy at home `Tres Culturas contigo', and replacing its traditional Tuesday Film Festival, the Foundation offers the screening of the documentary `Contramarea' (Spain, 2016, 52 minutes).
In June 2018, the Foundation screened this magnificent and award-winning documentary with María Iglesias as scriptwriter and the collaboration of a large group of people whose aim has been and continues to be to save lives.
The PROEM-AID association, a Spanish team of emergency professionals, has been helping on a voluntary basis since the end of 2015 on the Greek island of Lesbos, rescuing people travelling by sea from Turkey in precarious boats. A team of firefighters who, together with thousands of volunteers from different NGOs and nationalities, are setting an example of solidarity to the public.
The director, Carlos Escaño, presents this film for the audience of the Fundación Tres Culturas, in which he shows the work of these organisations and volunteers who attend to thousands of refugees every year. In his words, a documentary to reflect on "the urgency of solidarity without borders".
