As part of the programme of activities to enjoy at home `Tres Culturas contigo', and in collaboration with mk2 Cine/Sur, the Foundation offers the possibility to watch at home some of the best short films of the first edition of the festival. mk2 Short Festheld last October.
mk2 Short Fest arose from the joint initiative of mk2 Spain and the Cinema Blue agency, launching the first edition of this event., the first national multi-site short film festival. For two weeks, a selection of 60 short films were screened in ten cinemas in ten different cities, selected from among the works of more than 700 entries, which stood out for the originality of their stories and their production quality.
The festival consisted of two competitive sections: Official Section and Andalucía en Corto; as well as four thematic categories: LGBT, Animation, Documentary and Women Filmmakers; and to select the winners it had a luxury jury made up of great Spanish film professionals.
Thanks to mk2 Corto Fest Online and the invaluable collaboration of the filmmakers who have donated their works for this cause, we will be able to discover from home many of the short films that participated and won awards. The Fundación Tres Culturas thanks them for their generosity, which will allow us to enjoy cinema from our homes during these difficult days.
