Summer of comedy: `Tiempo después' in the Andalusian Gardens of Tres Culturas

Details

  • Date: 23 June 2020
  • Time:
    22:00 - 23:30

The Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo Foundation is reopening its doors to the public with ‘Back to Tres Culturas’, a special programme that will mark the return to what has been termed the “new normal” from 23 June.

That day, the Foundation's projectors will once again light up to resume their traditional ‘Cinema Tuesdays’ in an exceptional setting, the Andalusian Gardens of the Hassan II Pavilion, where there will be summer cinema every Tuesday in July and August at 10:00 PM.

To this end, the Foundation's staff are currently working on adapting this space according to the prevention and distancing guidelines established during the de-escalation, so that in addition to the auditorium seating, the public will also have tables for dining, as a catering service will be offered.

The screenings open with Some time laterthe last film by José Luis Cuerda, paying tribute to the creator of the amanecista movement, who recently passed away. There will also be films by other Spanish directors such as Fernando Colomo (Before the burning), Santiago Segura (Straightforward), Javier Ruiz Caldera (Superlópez), Javier Amboris and Javier Calvo (The call) and the directors Marta Díaz (My dear brotherhood) or Inés de León (What's at stake?), among others.

All these productions are national comedies, which will be joined on the billboard by other feature films of the same genre from different countries that have received good reviews and have been very well received by the public: The cow, by Mohamed Hamidi; The best recipeby John Goldsmid or The invisible ones, by Louis Julien Petit.

Tuesday 23 June, 10:00 PM.

Later. HTribute to José Luis Cuerda (José Luis Cuerda, Spain, 2018, 95 min.)

In the year 9177, the entire world has been reduced to a single representative building and some sordid outskirts inhabited by all the unemployed and hungry people in the cosmos. Based on the novel of the same name by José Luis Cuerda himself, it is an ensemble film that could be considered a «spiritual sequel» to the brilliant It dawns, which is not a little. Its cast features a good number of well-known Spanish comedy actors.
