The Fundación Tres Culturas, in co-organisation with the Centro Sefarad-Israel, presents a new virtual session on how the global pandemic is affecting another Middle Eastern country, in this case Israel.
The emergence of COVID-19 in Israel has coincided with a complicated moment not only in terms of regional dynamics, but also internally, where the country had more pressing problems: the (almost endemic) difficulties in forming a government - finally closed a month ago between Netanyahu and Gantz - and the latter's judicial problems.
On the other hand, as a technological powerhouse, Israel could be an important player in the development of an effective treatment or even a vaccine, a task in which some biotech entities are already engaged with some hope of success.
To analyse these and other issues, we will be joined by the Israeli ambassador to Spain, Rodica Radian-Gordon, who will debate with Miguel de Lucas, director general of the Centro Sefarad-Israel.
