A derelict site, published by (Sitara), the first novel by article writer, translator and political science graduate Mohamed El Morabet, is the story of a return. The dilemma of departure experienced one day by an emigrant who changes country and says goodbye to many real and symbolic things. Someone who suddenly returns, in the form of an exciting journey into the past. A journey to a dreamlike and disturbing "ocean of childhood", of the first warm memories that "out of pain or laziness", for a long time, were kept away. Even what could be defined as a kind of "responsibility of thought" was for years not consciously faced.
This book will be presented by the author on Saturday 28 November at the headquarters of the Fundación Tres Culturas; it can also be followed virtually through the Foundation's Youtube Life channel. He will be joined by Eduardo Jordá, writer and journalist.
