Within the development of the actions of the 'Halal Market' project, the Three Cultures Foundation is organising, on Thursday 8 July at 12 noon (Spanish time), the IV Participatory Online Forum, dedicated to exploring the concept of immersive tourism in the halal sector.
The aim of the forum is to promote understanding of the needs of the Muslim public that can be of use to businesses involved in handicrafts specifically and halal trade in general.
Fazil Irwan, who served as executive director of the World Islamic Economic Forum between 2006 and 2017, as well as the same position between 2019 and 2020 at the International Strategy Institute, an organisation dedicated to the promotion of fair trade, economic growth and sustainable development in Asia, will speak at the event. Fazil is currently the head of the Human and Social Development Dept. of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ICESCO) based in Rabat. His presentation is entitled: "Exploring the concept of immersive tourism in the halal sector".
Fazil will outline a definition of halal trade with its international projection. The session will also include a practical case study of global trends and the needs of the target public of this halal tourism, which will explain the fundamental features of this customer profile: what they need, what they prefer and what they appreciate in craftsmanship.
