The Fundación Tres Culturas, in collaboration with the French Institute, is offering the two film sessions of the last month of 2021 to French animation.
France is a pioneer in animated film because of its long tradition in the field of comics and its co-productions with Belgium, the birthplace of the genre. Creators such as Émile Cohl (Émile Courtet), officially considered the first animation director, or Alexander Alexeïeff, known for the 'needle screen' developed with his wife, Claire Parker, kept France as a leader in the sector for decades. A leadership that it still maintains in Europe, as the main producer and co-producer of animated feature films.

Les Contes de la nuit. Michel Ocelot. France, 2011, 84 min.
Every night, a girl, a boy and an old technician meet in a small cinema that seems abandoned, but is full of wonders. The three friends invent, document, draw, dress up. And they act out all the stories they want in a magical night where everything is possible: magicians and fairies, powerful kings and stable boys, werewolves and beautiful, merciless ladies... evil that wreaks havoc and innocence that triumphs.
Invitations at THIS LINK from 12 noon on Wednesday 1 December.
