The Fundación Tres Culturas is collaborating in the celebration of the 1st International Congress 'Antonio. Cien años de baile', which will be held at the headquarters of this institution (among other venues) from 4 to 6 November with the main objective of studying, through the entire oeuvre of the brilliant dancer and bailaor, his contribution to dance.
Organised by the University of Seville, through its Chair of Flamencology, together with the Regional Ministry of Culture and Historical Heritage, through the Andalusian Institute of Flamenco, and the Seville City Council, this congress aims to disseminate and promote the figure of Antonio, as well as to reveal various hitherto unpublished or little known aspects of the dancer, above all in reference to his creations and in the revision of existing documentation that allows for a deeper knowledge of this brilliant artist in his historical context.
The opening ceremony will take place on 4 November at noon in the Paraninfo of the University of Seville. The sessions of the Congress, on the 4th, 5th and 6th, will be held entirely in the Hassan II Pavilion, the headquarters of this foundation.
