The Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation continues to strengthen its ties with the African Film Festival of Tarifa and Tangier, participating in this new edition in the programme of parallel activities with the organisation of the exhibition 'Faces of the New Morocco' and the colloquium 'Cinema and Border'.
It is sponsored by the Ministry in charge of Moroccan Communities Living Abroad and Migration Affairs in the framework of the programme 'Alqantara: Bridges for Dialogue and Coexistence'.
Colloquium 'Cinema and Frontiers
In a more relaxed but no less serious format of meetings between filmmakers, journalists and the public around a glass of wine, a debate about cinema is proposed, creating a privileged space to address ethical, aesthetic and stylistic issues, responding to one of the main objectives of this festival: to remember that African films, before being African, are cinema, and that African films participate in the elaboration of contemporary trends in global film narrative.
José Manuel Cervera Gragera, director of the Fundación Tres Culturas and Juan José Téllez, director of the Centro Andaluz de las Letras, will take part in this colloquium on cinema with critics and filmmakers, which will take place as part of the 'Aperitivos de cine' cycle at the Hotel The Riad in Tarifa.
