Turkey in Three Cultures

Details

  • Start: 16 May 2022| 08:00
  • End: 20 May 2022| 17:00

Turkey is a country with a very diverse culture, a mixture of Turkish, Anatolian and Ottoman elements. It is a continuity of Greco-Roman and Islamic cultures in symbiosis with Western traditions that began as a result of the Ottoman Empire's continuous exchanges with neighbouring countries in Europe and the Mediterranean arc, and continues to this day. A country that, in short, is committed to being a modern state that knows how to combine the essence of its traditional religious and historical values without renouncing contemporary advances.

During the week of 16-20 May, the Fundación Tres Culturas is organising, in collaboration with the Yunus Emre Institute-Turkish Cultural Centre and the Turkish Embassy in Spain, the second edition of the programme 'Turkey in Three Cultures', with a varied offer that includes music, cinema and a collective exhibition.
