The term “Mediterranean” is so broad musically and culturally that it would be necessary to create an unmanageable repertoire. However, the group Yakamoz offers a journey that delves into a route with stops in North Africa, Greece, and the Balkans, including Turkey.
The Turkish word “Yakamoz” poetically describes this journey through traditional music from around the Mediterranean, in which musicians of diverse backgrounds have come together, driven by the charm of melodies and rhythms evocative of times gone by.
The members of this group are Chemón Cortés (ud), Jesús Sancho (violin), Vasili Biruk (accordion) and David Ruiz (percussion).
