Six months after the State of Alarm was declared in Spain as a result of COVID-19, the Fundación Tres Culturas has taken stock of the activities carried out during this period, with more than satisfactory results: a total of one hundred proposals, in two distinct stages.
The first of these corresponds to the months of confinement and the different phases of de-escalation, just before the so-called "new normality" began. During this time, until 23 June, under the title 'Three cultures with you', the Foundation deployed a programme with 60 proposals for cinema, music, literature, conferences, exhibitions, legal advice for immigrants and informative content for the whole family to enjoy. All this online, through the website and our profiles on various social networks, great allies of this institution to remain close to our public despite the imposed distances.
However, from 23 June, the Foundation took a leap in this offer with the arrival of the 'Back to Three Cultures' programme, which returned the face-to-face activity to the Hassan II Pavilion, making it a reference point for post-confinement cultural action.
During this stage, 16 film screenings and seven concerts have been offered, two of them within the framework of the Seville Flamenco Biennial, as well as three top-level literary events and a new exhibition. All this has brought together more than 6,500 people, who at each event have respected the rules of hygiene, disinfection, use of masks, keeping their distance, etc., an audience that has crowded the Andalusian Gardens of the Fundación Tres Culturas to enjoy cultural events in the open air and in safety.
In parallel, online events such as some colloquiums and the INTREPIDA plus project meetings with various businesswomen from Spain and Portugal have also attracted a great deal of interest.
In short, it is a hybrid programme, halfway between face-to-face and virtual, which, in view of the good results achieved, invites us to continue along these lines.
