Cycle 'Three Cultures in family'. Storytelling and Flamenco inspiration with Pirates of Alexandria

Details

  • Date: 21 November 2020
  • Time:
    12:00 - 13:30

The cycle 'Tres Culturas en familia' (Three Cultures in the Family) kicks off with a classic of our stage: the group Piratas de Alejandría, a benchmark in oral storytelling in Andalusia. With more than 25 years of experience, their profession is the word in its various forms and on this occasion they bring us a show to celebrate flamenco, intangible heritage of humanity, like stories.

The play tells the story of "el Manué" and "el Israel", who have arrived in the middle of winter at the Triana market, determined to hawk and sell everything they have managed to put in a basket. Many call them the fantasists, and that is what happens in this show; fantasy is sown. So from the mouth of Manué, and with the music of Israel, we will get to know the incredible things they bring in their little basket.

The Foundation has launched this special programme, which includes storytelling shows and concerts on several Saturdays and Sundays in November and December, with the aim of offering families a new way of rediscovering Three Cultures.

The performance will begin at 12:00 noon, with free admission with prior registration. Invitations will be available from Thursday, 19 November, at 10:00 a.m. at this link.
