On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the opening of Expo’92, the Tres Culturas Foundation presents a concert featuring the successful artist Anwar, a Belgian singer and composer of Moroccan origin who will present for the first time in Spain the tracks from his debut album., Beautiful Sunrise, On April 20 starting at 20:30 hours.
Considered one of the great promises of the current musical scene by critics and audiences both in his native Belgium and in France (where he has performed several times with singer ZAZ, with whom he started as a supporting act), Anwar will fill the Tres Culturas stage with his peculiar mix of music, a proposal in which pop and soul share space with Moroccan and African rhythms.
In fact, in several interviews published in the French press, he himself acknowledges this fusion of influences, from Bob Marley and James Brown to Moby or the Nigerian singer Fela Kuti. The result of all this is the unique style that Anwar has created and that is evident in the 13 tracks that make up the album. Beautiful Sunrise, the disc that he will present at the headquarters of Tres Culturas.
