On the occasion of Women's Day, the Fundación Tres Culturas offers a concert by a great African singer and writer: the Senegalese singer-songwriter Kya Loum.
Rokhaya Loum, aka Kya Loum, claims an art that is as African as it is universal, armed with her guitar and the warm tone of her voice. From the beginning, she has worked to create her own musical style, "African and universal", and has toured the world with it. Kya Loum inspires respect and has a special talent for writing her texts in three languages: French, English and Wolof, as well as composing her own music.
With an air of Afro-blues, tinged with rock, soul or jazz, and her powerful, sweet and vibrant voice, she evokes some of the great female names in the history of music. "When she speaks to you with her angelic voice, it is impossible to anticipate the fire that sizzles from her singing. The young singer imposes her extraordinary, out-of-the-ordinary style," music critics note.
