The Fundación Tres Culturas joins the celebration of International Libraries Day, which is celebrated on 24 October and whose motto from 2019 is 'Suitable for all audiences'.
Precisely following this premise, at the Fátima Mernissi Library we have made a complete selection of copies of all kinds to share with our readers and users. In this way, more than 200 works from our library collections have been chosen to be given as gifts to those who visit us from 24 to 28 October, inclusive.
Each person will be able to take a maximum of three books and in exchange they will only have to write (on a sheet of paper provided) a few lines explaining what the library of the Fundación Tres Culturas means to them.
The selection of works includes international relations, interreligious dialogue, international cooperation, art, dictionaries and encyclopaedias, biographies and essays. Not forgetting numerous examples of fiction, comics and literature for young people.
This initiative will take place during the library's opening hours, that is, from Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, and on Wednesdays also from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
On the other hand, and coinciding with this week of celebration, on Thursday 27 October there will be a meeting in the library rooms with members of our reading club of the Luis Jiménez de Assúa Social Insertion Centre, to share the work 'Espía accidental', by Jorge Dezcallar. This session will include the preparation of a special bread based on this book, which will be made by our collaborator, the bakery La Esencia.
