The Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation and Be Sepharad-Legado Sefardí organise a meeting on the Sephardic memory and heritage of the city of Tangier.

Pepa Rull, founder of Be Sepharad-Legado Sefardí, in conversation with Rachel Muyal, Sephardic woman, witness and exceptional protagonist of the intellectual life of Tangier in the 20th century, brings us closer to the history and present of the Sephardim of Tangier, their culture and their legacy.

The talk revolves around Rachel Muyal's experience as the protagonist of the documentary 'Tu boca en los cielos' (Your mouth in heaven), in which she explains the reality of the Sephardic Jews of the Maghreb, while reading a wonderful letter written by her to the Catholic Monarchs more than 500 years after the Edict of Expulsion of the Jews in 1492.

The performance of the group 'Sephardic Bridges' closes the event with a recital of Sephardic and Maghreb Jewish songs. Musicians from Tetouan, Seville and Jerez de la Frontera have come together for this occasion, with the voices of Imam Kandoussi and Pepa Rull.
