Synopsis
Summer in Tangiers. A family gathers for three days in their home after the death of their father to share their memories and mourn his loss, according to Muslim tradition. They have left the beach behind and swapped their swimming costumes for djellabas, and have come together in a show of mourning.

The orchestra of the blind

During the early years of the reign of Hassan II, Houcine, a father and director of a popular orchestra, wants the best for his son Mimou, and so he forces him to be at the top of his class in primary school. Houcine's whole family lives in the family home of his wife, Halima, where a series of characters appear in the orchestra's life and traditional dances. The orchestra has a peculiarity: the musicians, all men, pretend to be blind in order to play at parties reserved for the women of conservative Moroccan families.
