There are hundreds of animation film festivals in Europe and the Maghreb, which indicates the interest in this form of the seventh art.

Parvana is an eleven-year-old girl living in the Afghan capital, Kabul, during the period of Taliban rule. When her father is arrested, the family members are left without resources and, because women are forbidden to earn money, they decide to transform Parvana into a boy so that she can work.
Based on the novel by Deborah Ellis, this is the third feature film by the prestigious Irish studio Cartoon Saloon, which tackles the historical drama under the direction of Nora Twomey, one of the most relevant filmmakers and animators of the moment.
The Breadwinner explores the culture, history and beauty of Afghanistan from a female point of view. A captivating film about bravery, family bonds, overcoming and loyalty in a time of war. The story of a heroine who courageously and imaginatively confronts her time of misogyny and violence.
