Tres Culturas Summer Cinema. Nights of Cinema and Humour' in Seville

Details

  • Start: 1 July 2014
  • End: 30 July 2014

The Fundación Tres Culturas is launching the second edition of its Summer CinemaThis is an initiative that combines our usual commitment to cinema with such a deep-rooted tradition in our city as open-air cinema.

This cycle, which during the month of July replaces the traditional Tuesday Cinema screenings, will take place in the Andalusian Gardens of the Foundation, an outdoor space suitably equipped to cover the needs of the public during the screenings (ambigú and toilets) and will begin on Tuesday 1 July and continue until 29 July, with five film sessions starting at approximately 22.00 hours, with the sunset.

Through humour -understood as a tool to conjure up violence and de-dramatise life- the Summer Cinema of Three Cultures aims to offer a different vision of issues that have been treated from a serious point of view in other films. Thus, issues such as immigration, the political situation in the Middle East or religious experiences are brought to the public in a different, more affable way, but no less full of intention.

The films that make up this cycle are:

Only in New York

Hearat Shulayim (Footer)

La source des femmes (The women's fountain)

Yadon ilaheyya (Divine Intervention)

The infidel
