Meeting with the Portuguese singer-songwriter and writer Luísa Sobral

The Three Cultures Foundation, as part of the INTREPIDA pro project, is organising a meeting with the Portuguese singer-songwriter and writer Luísa Sobral, who will present her first novel published in Spanish, Not all trees die standing up. (Lunwerg Planeta), and in Portuguese, Not all trees die standing (Dom Quixote - LeYa -).

This story, translated from Portuguese into Spanish by Rosa Martínez-Alfaro, offers a deeply human vision that intertwines memory, family secrets and identity across several generations, confirming the sensitivity and narrative strength in her literary voice.

The author will converse in Portuguese with Conceição Silva and in Spanish with Olga Cuadrado, who are in charge of the respective book clubs that will be working on the work in both languages before holding another meeting next autumn.

This appointment is open to anyone interested in getting to know the author of the subject better Loving for both of us performed by Salvador Sobral and with which Portugal won Eurovision for the first time. An invitation to discover new literary proposals in a unique heritage setting such as the headquarters of the Consulate General of Portugal in Seville.
