The Tres Culturas Foundation, as part of its European INTREPIDA plus project, is organising a new event to highlight the work of women, this time in the world of music. On this occasion, we present the string quartet Almaclara-Inés Rosales. This ensemble is part of a chamber orchestra comprising 15 instrumentalists, all of whom are women and string players with higher education degrees in their respective specialities, making it the first orchestra of its kind in Andalusia.

Since 2008 the orchestra has been present at numerous forums with the intention of promoting music at all levels, including an interesting educational program. The name Almaclara pays homage to two women strongly linked to music: the composer and music editor Alma Mahler and the pianist Clara Schumann.

This string quartet will offer us a special concert dedicated to themes that evoke Christmas, highlighting pieces from Corelli's Christmas Concerto, some fragments from Handel's Messiah, along with Songs Christmas-themed romantic films, among others.

This time the quartet is made up of Inés Montero (1st violin), Irene Fernández (2nd violin), Aglaya González (viola) and Beatriz González Calderón (cello).

Free activity, limited places. Registration is required at THIS LINK.
