INTREPIDA dates begin with Susana Travassos
The Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation is launching the INTREPIDA appointment series with the Algarvian artist and businesswoman Susana Travassos at an intimate gathering where we will discover their musical project Bird Word.
Susana Travassos, one of the most original voices on the Portuguese-Brazilian scene, began her career in Portugal (finalist in the 2018 Festival RTP da Canção) and spent a large part of her career in Latin America, particularly Brazil, where she lived for 10 years. She has collaborated with artists such as Luísa Sobral, Yamandu Costa and Chico Pinheiro, among others. Pássaro Palavra (2019), her debut project as a singer-songwriter, blends fado, Latin American music, tango and jazz. After performing this project in Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, South Korea and a number of Spanish cities, she now arrives in Seville as part of the INTREPIDA pro project.
INTREPIDA is applying under the sixth call for proposals of the Interreg Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) programme for 2021–2027, which is 75% funded by the ERDF.
