As part of the World Environment Day celebrations, the INTREPIDA project offers the opportunity to find out more about the project Biologist Maribel Adrián, who together with her husband Plácido Clarita, founded thirty years ago Bird Valley in Puebla del Río, Seville.
What was once an old gravel pit is now a birdwatching centre one of the most recognised and complete wetlands in Spain, declared a Concerted Nature Reserve. This small, restored wetland receives visitors from all corners of Europe. The Cañada de los Pájaros is also a centre for the study and veterinary recovery of all types of birds, some of which are critically endangered.
This INTREPID tour offers a guided experience that will provide a better understanding of this project in a landmark natural space, Example of commitment to the environment and, especially, with the area's birdlife.
The INTREPIDA pro project belongs to the Interreg Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) programme and receives European funding.
