On 8 March, International Women's Day, the Fundación Tres Culturas has a new appointment with the citizens, this time to bring the INTREPIDA plus project to a selection of three food markets in the city of Seville.

Food markets have always been the hallmark of any city that manages to maintain its identity today by offering fresh, quality products in the face of stiff competition from large shopping centres. We paid tribute to all the people who go to the markets every morning to work or shop, not least because the INTREPIDA plus project is made up of small businesses run by women who also face competition from large companies and franchises.

Throughout the morning of 8 March, a part of the Fundación Tres Culturas team, coordinator of this project, will travel from the Isla de la Cartuja in Seville to be physically present at the food markets of Calle Feria, one of the oldest buildings in Seville dating back to 1719, the Cerro del Águila market, built in 1937 as well as the HYTASA factory which produced an important migratory process of workers, and the Pino Montano market in the northern part of the city, built in 1990.

This INTREPIDA event is designed to raise awareness of our activities among people who, for various reasons, are not yet familiar with this project and who live further away from the Foundation's headquarters on the Isla de la Cartuja in Seville. Throughout the morning we will disseminate information about the different activities carried out by the project, encouraging businesswomen to take part in it and to benefit from its different actions.

The Fundación Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo is the Main Beneficiary of the INTREPIDA plus project, together with the following partners from Spain and Portugal: Mancomunidad Condado de Huelva, Diputación de Huelva, Asociación de Empresarios de la Región de Portalegre (NERPOR), Núcleo Empresarial de la Región de Évora (NERE) and Municipality of Faro. The INTREPIDA plus project has European funding from the INTERREG V A Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) programme.
