The Fundación Tres Culturas, within the framework of the European project INTREPIDAorganises the presentation of The times of splendour (La umbría y la solana) by Lídia Jorge, on 6 March at 19:00. An essential date with the best Portuguese literature.
Jorge, who has also been awarded the highest French distinctions, will talk to journalist and writer Daniel Blanco about the universe that surrounds the nine stories contained in her book The times of splendourand on the situation of current Portuguese literature, which is still so unknown in our country.
In her new book, Lídia Jorge shows the human being in its pure state, from the earliest childhood, against the backdrop of the Portuguese colonial past that the author knows so well, as she was a teacher for four years in Angola and Mozambique.
Simultaneous translation from Portuguese into Spanish will be provided.
