In the second half of September and resuming the awareness-raising activities within the framework of the Alqantara programme, the Fundación Tres Culturas will launch a new training course in classical Arabic aimed at the sons and daughters of people of Moroccan origin who want to learn or put into practice the language of origin of their parents.

The main objective of these Arabic classes is to prevent Moroccan minors from losing contact with their roots, as they know Dariya, the language spoken in Morocco and in their families, but they do not know classical or international Arabic, which is the most widely used in the Arab world today for the press, television, books, etc.

The programme will be carried out over three months of training which will enable these students from the area of Lepe, in Huelva, where the classes will be held, to learn the basics of the classical Arabic language or fusha. They will work on basic linguistic aspects such as learning the graphic system, the acquisition of vocabulary, initiation to writing and reading and some grammatical structures that will enable them to get by in everyday social situations.

The courses are completely free of charge for students and two groups of four 90-minute sessions per week will be formed. The number of participants will be 20 per group in order to get the most out of the learning process.
