The Fundación Tres Culturas presents a concert by La Banda Morisca, a peculiar musical group that combines the heritage of the many cultures that have left their melodies and rhythms in the Mediterranean, as the public will be able to enjoy on 14 June as part of our special programme. Ramadan between Cultures.
The Mediterranean strip and the musical legacy of al-Andalus have been the sources from which these restless and curious researchers of music have drawn, reflecting it in the sound of today's Andalusia, the Maghreb and the Near East. In their artistic proposal, they are committed to a creative and original vision of a repertoire that mixes Eastern and Western influences from the Mediterranean (Andalusian moaxajas, Chaabi, Dahmane el Harachi, Nass el Ghiwane...) with the spirit of traditional flamenco and Andalusian rock (El Chozas, Lole y Manuel, Triana...).
The members of this formation are José Mari Cala, Juanmi Cabral, José Cabral, Antonio Torres and Andrés T. Rodríguez, who bring training, experience and individual and collective experience. Now, after five years of success and two albums acclaimed by critics and audiences alike, they are coming to the Tres Culturas stage.
