The Three Cultures Foundation is holding this activity on 16th March at 10:00 as parallel proposal of the second edition of COMICMED, reinforcing its commitment to the comic book as an educational tool and an intercultural meeting space. The initiative comes following the in-class reading of Persepolis, the work of Marjane Satrapi which transformed the way personal experience is told in comics and opened up new ways of looking at history through memory and lived experience.
Following the film, students from the Aljarafe School will take part in a discussion with the Moroccan cartoonist and activist Zainab Fasiki, who will talk with them about comics, identity, freedom of expression and the power of drawing as a tool for social change.
