A call for peace in the Mediterranean area where diversity is richness
Concierto en el Centro Cívico Alcosa
The Fundación Tres Culturas commemorates Mediterranean Day with the music of the group Alxaraf, which will offer a programme centred on the legacy of the three cultures. This is a musical proposal that arises from the maturity of a series of artists with an important professional career. On this occasion, the following will take part Tino Van der Sman to the flamenco guitar, David Chupete percussion and Bernardo Mirandaflamenco singer. In this special commemoration, the group will also count with the collaboration of Yolanda Osuna to flamenco dance.
The musical project Alxaraf was born out of the need to remember and highlight the fertile cultural legacy that remained in Andalusia during the golden age of Al-Andalus, where the three monotheistic cultures and religions coexisted peacefully.
This event is part of the agenda of the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the Barcelona Process. It also joins the celebration of the 42 countries in the framework of the Anna Lindh Foundation's annual Mediterranean Day celebrations.
