  • End: 16 December 2016| 19:00

The Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation and the Azarquiel Association commemorate the ‘Arabic Language Day’organising, during the week of 12th to 16th December, talks in centres that request them, to highlight the heritage and legacy of Arabic in our daily lives.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, UNESCO, in 2012 instituted December 18th as World Arabic Language Day.

History bears witness to the role that the Arabic language has played for centuries in the circulation of knowledge, between different cultures and through the ages, being the best example of a symbol of unity in diversity.

The aim of this activity is to make students aware of the contribution of this language, as a transmitter of Islamic and scientific wisdom, to the common heritage of humanity through talks in classrooms.

If your centre or class is interested in joining the initiative, please get in touch by completing the form you can see here.
