The Fundación Tres Culturas celebrates Andalusia Day with a flamenco concert by two great Andalusian artists: the pianist and cantaor Diego Amador and the flamenco guitarist José María Bandera. Two flamenco artists from the old school - both come from families with a great artistic tradition - who have matured between their roots in tradition and their stance in favour of the evolution of the genre.
Together they present the show PaqueandoBandera and Paco de Lucía have collaborated in a collaboration that was born from the idea of both of them to preserve and give continuity to the work of the great Paco de Lucía. The themes that make up this repertoire are treated with instrumental nudity and respect for Paco de Lucía's composition and way of working, which Bandera knows so well as a disciple of his uncle, the genius from Algeciras. As a sonorous novelty, the piano and the presence of vocals, to which the author has always given so much importance thanks to the presence of Diego Amador.
José María Bandera (Algeciras, 1960). Guitarist and composer born into a family of flamenco artists. He was a disciple of Paco de Lucía as a member of his septet and later joined the Ballet Nacional de España, where for thirteen years he performed classical and original works and shared the stage with world-class artists.
Diego Amador (Seville, 1973). Multi-instrumentalist musician known as 'the gypsy Ray Charles' for his free and vigorous spirit on the piano. As a cantaor, he stands out for his wide progression of flamenco "palos" and "claves". This combination of exceptional performer and musician, and having lived in his own home with roots and innovation, has been his passport to collaborate with figures of the stature of Tomatito, Camarón de la Isla, Diego 'El Cigala' and Remedios Amaya.
