Synopsis:
Claude and Marie Verneuil, a very conservative Catholic couple, have four daughters, whom they have tried to instil with their values and principles. However, the girls have given them nothing but disappointment: the eldest married a Muslim, the second a Jew, and the third a Chinese. The couple pin all their hopes on the youngest daughter, hoping that she, at least, will marry in church.
