Synopsis:

Allan Karlsson, a hundred-year-old man, dressed in his best suit and slippers, escapes from the nursing home through a window, leaving the mayor and the local press in the lurch. He is unwilling to give up the pleasure of living and, although he doesn't know where to go, he sets off on an adventure.
