Details

  • Start: 25 May 2019
  • End: 3 June 2019

Armando Rabadán is a visual artist with a degree in Fine Arts from the universities of Seville and Mimar Sinan in Istanbul, Turkey, where he developed his artistic career for four years. In his current creations, he combines geometry with concepts reminiscent of the origamiThe result is apparently three-dimensional due to the use of depth, texture and shadow on canvas. In his landscapes colour and simplicity are paramount.

As part of the Three Cultures Foundation's CARPET project, from 25 May to 2 June, Rabadán will be living with other artists at Krowji (home of Creative Kernow and Cornwall's largest creative centre) to fuse painting with other disciplines such as crafts and design. He will also lead a meditative watercolour workshop for older people, designed to stimulate cognitive processes. He will also participate in the Open Studio which Krowji organises twice a year and which is attended by collectors and art enthusiasts from all over the country.
