Within the framework of the ‘Alqantara: Bridges for Dialogue and Coexistence’ programme, the Tres Culturas Foundation began this course in October with the aim of training unemployed young Moroccans in a trade that would enable them to enter the catering and tourism sector more quickly afterwards.
Once the professional internships in hospitality companies have been completed, students will receive their diplomas at a ceremony at the Foundation's headquarters, which will be held on 7 February at 11 am.
The course, coordinated and guided by accredited trainers, comprised a theoretical part, necessary to obtain the basic knowledge of a kitchen assistant such as the application of hygiene and sanitary standards and conditions, raw material sourcing in the kitchen, culinary preparation and preservation etc., and another practical part of real kitchen work.
